This is a lovely small, well-appointed apartment in the centre of Potts Point. It's surrounded by a variety of good eating cafes and restaurants, and close to Kings Cross railway station. When we stayed, it was remarkably quiet for its location. We'd definitely stay there again.

I contacted Jodie on Christmas Day after discovering a blocked drain at our property, and she had a plumber organised and at the house that same day.

Having someone local who is responsive, reliable and able to organise trusted trades at very short notice gave us enormous peace of mind. We came to Jodie and the Blackbird team at a really stressful time financially and honestly weren’t sure whether we could afford to hold onto the property.

Jodie took over the short-term rental management and managed to generate a level of income we hadn’t thought was possible. The property performed extremely well right up until we ultimately decided to sell.

Looking back, with the benefit of hindsight, we probably could have held onto the property because of the returns Blackbird was achieving for us. At the time, though, selling felt like the safest decision.

Jodie looks after an apartment for us where in the past we’ve had considerable issues with strata, who are opposed to Airbnb in the building. She has skilfully navigated difficult personalities, represented us at strata meetings, and ensured our guests comply with all by-laws.

When issues have arisen with guests breaching rules, such as smoking or parties, Jodie has acted swiftly to resolve the situation and recover costs. Due to our location, this was an ongoing issue with our previous manager, but since Jodie took over, problems are rare and always handled quickly and effectively.
