About Blackbird
The people behind Blackbird.
Blackbird is a female-led, boutique short-stay management business, founded and led by Jodie Silcock and run by a small, close-knit team. Together we look after a small number of homes across Sydney, the Blue Mountains, the Central Coast and the Northern Beaches, and we treat each one as if it were our own.
Jodie’s story
It started with one holiday home.
Ten years ago, while working as a lawyer, Jodie turned her own holiday home into a successful short stay. That one property became the beginning of Blackbird.
Today Jodie leads a small team who work closely together on every home. She has kept the business boutique and female-led on purpose, because she would rather care for fewer homes properly than spread herself too thin.
