This bright and airy one-bedroom home in a garden setting is situated in Tighes Hill, a suburb with a wonderful community vibe, plenty of cafes and easy access to the city by car or bus. The waterside walking and cycling paths along nearby Throsby Creek are perfect for a morning stroll, run or bike ride. It's a lovely way to explore the local area and connect with Newcastle's inner-city neighbourhoods.

The Space

This welcoming home provides you with everything you need for a comfortable and easy stay, with a generous amount of living space indoors as well as a large, sun filled private courtyard surrounded by greenery. There's plenty of room to sit outside with your morning coffee, enjoy lunch in the sunshine or settle in with a drink at the end of the day. Despite being so centrally located it is a very quiet and peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle.

The living room is spacious and comfortable with plenty of seating, a smart TV, ceiling fans and airconditioning. It's a calm, relaxing place to put your feet up after a day spent exploring Newcastle.

The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking at home with a full-size fridge, a new stove, microwave and cookware. The dining table overlooks the courtyard and doubles as a handy spot to set up a laptop if you're working during your stay.

The bedroom has a very comfortable double bed with fresh white linen, ceiling fan and a good amount of storage space.

The bathroom includes a walk-in shower and complimentary toiletries and you'll also have your own washing machine, particularly handy for longer stays.

A portacot and highchair are available for guests travelling with a little one.

The Neighbourhood

Tighes Hill has a relaxed, local feel that makes it very easy to settle into. You’ve got great coffee, food and pubs close by, leafy streets to explore and the walking and cycling paths around Throsby Creek within easy reach.

Start your morning with coffee at Praise Joe, directly across the road. For a local pub, The Cross Keys Hotel is nearby, while The Oak Tighes Hill is another neighbourhood favourite for a drink or meal. Bar Solè on Maitland Road is a great nearby option for pizza, and Equium Social in neighbouring Mayfield East is well worth a visit for breakfast or brunch.

You’re also well placed to explore nearby Islington, Carrington, Maryville and Mayfield, each with their own collection of cafés, restaurants and pubs.

When you’re ready to venture further, Newcastle CBD, Honeysuckle, the harbour foreshore and Newcastle’s beautiful beaches are all within easy reach.

Getting Around

There’s plenty to explore locally on foot or by bike, with cafés, pubs, parks and the Throsby Creek walking and cycling paths close by.

For exploring further afield, Newcastle CBD, Honeysuckle, the harbour and beaches are easily accessible by car or public transport.
